Chapter 1
Greeting- 1:1-2
1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through will of God. To the holy and faithful in Christ Jesus, 2grace to you and peace from God the Father of us and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Benediction- 1:3-14
3Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ, 4just as He chose us in Him before the world’s foundation in order to be holy and blameless before Him in love, 5having predestined us to sonship through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6for the praise and glory of His grace that was bestowed on us in the Beloved, 7in whom we have the redemption, the forgiveness from trespasses, through His blood  according to His rich grace 8that abounds towards us, in all wisdom and insight 9 in order to make known to us the mystery of His will, according to his good pleasure that He purposed in Him, 10for the administration of the fullness of times He summed all things in Christ, things on heaven and things on earth in Him, 11in who also we have been chosen by lot, having been predestined according the plan of Him who works all according to the will of His counsel, 12in order for us, who were the first to hope in Christ, to be the praise of His glory, 13in whom also you all having heard the word that is true, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also you having believed, were sealed through the Holy Spirit of promise, 14who is given as our down payment, for redemption to God, to the praise of His glory.

Thanksgiving & Intercessory Prayer- 1:15-23
15For this reason I too, having heard of your specific faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the holy ones, 16do not cease giving thanks on behalf of, making mention in my prayers, 17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowledge of Him, 18and that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, in order that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what is the rich glory of His down payment with regard to the holy ones, 19and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, those who believe according to the mighty working of His might, 20which was worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead ones and seated Him at His right hand in the heavens 21far above every ruler and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come, 22and He submitted all things under His foot and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
