Translation - Ephesians Ch. 2

Chapter 2 is now done!

Chapter 2
Saved From Sin to Life- 2:1-10
1And you all were dead in your trespasses and sins 2in which you all once walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler with authority of the air, the wind that is now working among the sons of disobedience
3in who also we all formerly lived in the desires of the flesh, doing the will of the flesh and minds, and were by nature children destined for wrath, even as the rest, 4but God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5and when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive with Christ – by grace you have been saved- 6and raised us together and seated us together in the heavens in Christ Jesus, 7so that He might show in the ages to come the surpassing riches of His grace in goodness upon us in Christ Jesus. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift from God, 9not from works, so that no one may glory. 10For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand, so that we would walk in them.
One in Christ- 2:11-22
11Therefore keeping conscious that once you all, the nations in the flesh, those who are called ‘uncircumcision’ by the one called ‘circumcision’, which is performed by hands in the flesh; 12remember that you were at that seasons apart from Christ, alienated from citizenship in Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, not having hope and without God in the world. 13But now in Christ Jesus you all who once were far away have become near through Christ’s blood.
14For He Himself is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the partition of the dividing wall, which is the enmity, in His flesh 15by abolishing the Law of commandments consisting in ordnances, so that in Him He might make the two into one new man, thereby establishing peace, 16and might reconcile them both in one body for God through the cross, having in Him killed the enmity. 17And He came and proclaimed peace to you all who were far away and to you all who were near, 18because through Him we have both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19Consequently therefore, you all are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you all are fellow citizens with the holy ones and are members of the household of God, 20having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, 21in whom the whole building, being joined together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22in whom you all also are being built together into a dwelling place of God through the Spirit.
